CCDT Blog Hop: Haunted Halloween

Welcome to the Creative Circle Design Team blog hop. Firstly, I like to introduce you to two additional new team members who just joined us.

Jay Soriano
Jay is a demo in the UK and just started with Stampin' Up! not too long ago. Jay has a fine art painting background and he will be bringing some great creativity to the team!

You can find his blog https://mitosustampin.blogspot.ca.

Stesha Bloodhart
Stesha is a demo in River Fall, WI. I love her style and she was voted for the best card on Kylie Bertucci's International Stampin' Up! Blog Highlight. She used to be demo between 2003-2008 and now rejoined again to get back into papercrafting!

You can find her blog at www.stampinhoot.com.

Both will bring great different creative ideas to the team. Great to have you both here!

Next, we move to this month's hop ... Haunted Halloween.

I have never been so excited about Halloween but when I needed a holding box for my test tubes, I came up with this great holder!

The size measures 1-1/2" (w) x 1-1/2" (d) x 5" (h).

When I originally created the holder I was very unhappy because the tube kept on twirling around and it would not sit straight. I had to go back to the drawing board, and add a small holder at the bottom. The test tube now snaps into the holder and even when you tip it upside down, the tube will not fall out.

I went to the Candy Aisle and purchased M&Ms (black & orange colors - Halloween colors) and filled the tubes with M&Ms.

What makes this a fun piece was that the Detailed Gate was added in front of the holder. It is trimmed down to fit the holder. I used my ecutter and MISTI to do some fussy cutting before coloring the pumpkins from the Seasonal Chums set.

I wanted the test tubes to be more spooky, so I created my own bats and cut them out with my ecutter. The googlie eyes were then attached to the bats.
Although my DP was recently retired from the Occasion Catalog, not matter what you have on hand, you can see the versatility of any orange DPs that Stampin' Up! carries.

I will be doing a FB Live on my FB Business Page on Saturday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Time, here https://www.facebook.com/lizhollowaydesign/ and would love you to join me.

WANT A FREE SVG FILE?  Want to make them?
