Graduation Card

Hello Friends!

Graduation is coming, and no sooner I need to get another project done. Graduation cards!

This time, my nephew is graduating from grade 12. I don't do a lot of guy cards so this was a challenge.

I used the same concept as I did in my earlier post on the Creative Circle Blog Hop. Only I changed the colors to give the bold look.

I used the large number dies, and lined it up in a straight line, and taped it down with washi tape before putting it through the big shot. Once die cut, I added window sheet at the back and then each number was outlined with our new foam adhesive strips (I am glad Stampin' Up! is selling them. It makes shaker cards so easy).

Then I added retired products, ie glitter glass and white sequins, and secured with the same size of whisper white cardstock.

For the cap, I just cut a 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 square and attached an action wobble behind the cap. The tassel is a 2" strip and I cut the ends with our fringe scissors, and rolled onto a 1/8" strip until I got the thickness. Trim off the excess.

Rather than throwing away the positive pieces, I created another card and stamped the word "YAY!"

I hope you enjoyed this project, please do use the hostess code to get free product! (hostess code show in the top right of my blog for the current one!) Learn more HERE. If you order is over $200 CDN, please do not use this code as YOU become the hostess and get the REWARDS!
