Hermes Handbag

Hi Friends,

Just in time for mother's day/for her day, a Hermes Handbag and a matching card.

The black satin ribbon weaves in and out of the bag and there is a bow on the side. Inside of the Hermes Handbag, you can add a gift card, cards or a little of something.

The latch is a magnetic latch to keep it shut which is dressed with the butterfly thinlits and I have added faux stitching on the latch.

Birthday Butterfly

Hello Friends

I love the pop of color with this card. Simple yet elegant. I added an action wobble spring at the back of the butterfly to make the wings flutter.

I won't go over the details. It is self explanatory.

Little Ballerina

It breaks my heart when I hear a little girl (turning 3) on Wednesday to undergo chemo treatment for leukemia.

One of our stampers community requested some cards for her.

Here is mine for Lily. Happy birthday sweetheart!

The little critter is wearing a skirt, and her hip jiggles!

Using Sponge Daubers

Hello Friends

Here is a technique from Stampin' Up! using a sponge dauber.

Your Big Day

Hello Friends,

Masculine cards are the hardest, and it is tough when you are needing a card for a guy who is 50 years old.

I wanted to play with my mustache framelits but did not know what to do with it.

I started off with a gate fold, and then added the DP panels and the mustache. I then when started play, I did not have round spectacle glasses, and so I created one using the MDS software and my e-cutter.

If you don't have an e-cutter, you can simply use the Circles Collection Framelits or punches to create the spectacle.

The lens is covered with cardstock vellum, and the rim of the frames is covered with Maritime Special DP.

When you open the card, I wanted the card to pop out, so I applied the specs on the inside of the card and added googlie eyes and a birthday cake.

The candles are just 1/4" strips of maritime DP, and the candles are using the Chalk Talk oval opening. The "X" means "10" and if you add 5 candles = 50. The alternative is add a "5" and "0".

How to add textbox in MMS6

This video will show you how to create a text box around your photo.

My Digital Studio (MDS) will no longer be available effective May 1, 2015. As MDS is produced by StoryRock, StoryRock has their own version call My Memories Suite (MMS6). You can download the latest version 6 and be purchased here.

The software is very similar to MDS.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends,

Getting back into blogging! It has taken me awhile to get back into routine.

Here is a birthday card using the "Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer" paper. I love the rainbow effect.

I applied the various ink colors onto the specialty designer paper and cut the "happy" out and layered several black cardstocks behide it. I don't have any cloud punch/die cuts, so I used memory box clouds.

Squeeky Clean

Hello Stampin' Friends,

I finally got tired of looking at my acrylic blocks all grungy looking so I gave them a bath today with hot soapy water. I use some dish detergent and hot water and scrubbed it with the soft scrub pad.

Get Well Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

It has been a crazy weekend!

As indicated earlier in my most recent post that my BIL has been diagnosed with Leukemia, and now undergoing chemo treatment. I placed a call out to anyone who would like to send him a card to keep his mind off his side effects from the chemo. Here is my card for him.

Get Well Card

I’m using Karen Burniston‘s Clock & Gears and the Spiral Circle Pull dies.

Get Well - ajar
When you pull it open you can see all the gears popping out. Inside there is a handwritten note by me saying “It’s TIME to get your GEARS in order!

Hopefully, this will lift up his spirit.

Get Well Fully Open
Card fully open, and the gears are sprung open. I used Memory Box Gear die to create the smaller gears.
